About the Journal

The Journal of Sustainable Bioeconomy and One Health (JSBOH) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to a single, tightly bounded object of scientific inquiry: the Bioeconomy-Health Nexus — the closed-loop system through which biological production, economic circulation, clinical health, and socio-digital infrastructure co-determine one another as interdependent mechanisms of a single adaptive system.

JSBOH does not exist to aggregate research from agriculture, medicine, economics, or information technology as separate disciplinary contributions. It exists to publish research that demonstrates how these domains function as mechanisms of one system — how a perturbation introduced in biological production propagates through economic circulation, registers as a measurable effect on clinical or population health, and is mediated, accelerated, or constrained by the digital and social infrastructure that connects them. The journal's editorial identity rests on this systemic boundary, not on subject-matter breadth. JSBOH is, by design, a narrow-aperture, high-rigor venue: authors submit because their work demonstrates a traceable mechanism-to-mechanism linkage, not because their topic is difficult to place elsewhere.

This positioning is deliberate and non-negotiable. It is the journal's primary safeguard against the drift toward generalist, low-selectivity publishing that characterizes predatory and quasi-predatory outlets, and it is the basis on which every editorial decision — desk review, peer review, and final disposition — is made.
