Journal of Community Innovation and Social Impact is a fully open-access journal. All published content is freely available to readers, institutions, and community organisations worldwide from the date of publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers, consistent with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition.

Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of any article, provided appropriate attribution is given to the original authors. No published content is subject to an access embargo. Every article is assigned a persistent digital object identifier (DOI) and retained in a permanent full-text archive.
