About the Journal

The Journal of Agricultural Science and Sustainable Agriculture (JASSA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Tanjungpura. JASSA is dedicated to publishing original research and critical reviews across all areas of agricultural sciences, sustainable farming, and agribusiness.

Focus and Scope

The journal publishes rigorous scholarship regarding the biophysical processes governing crop, animal, and aquatic production, as well as the engineering, economic, and social systems through which agricultural output is handled, valued, and distributed. Our aim is to accelerate global agricultural innovation and bridge the gap between laboratory technological engineering and practical farming solutions.

Peer Review Process

JASSA enforces a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the highest scientific quality, integrity, and originality of all published manuscripts. Under this policy, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are strictly kept anonymous. All submissions are additionally screened for textual similarity using Turnitin (maximum 20% overall similarity tolerance) before entering the external review stage.

Publication Frequency

The journal ensures continuous and rapid dissemination of research findings by officially releasing its regular issues quarterly (4 times a year) in March, June, September, and December. Manuscript submissions are open throughout the entire year.

Open Access Policy & Licensing

JASSA provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain full copyright ownership of their work and are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories.
